I feel strongly that there is a way to talk about God to people that meets them where they are in this world rather than trying to force them into a world that doesn't make any sense to them.  Jesus met people where they were then demonstrated why it was better.

The only way to have a dialogue and an exchange of ideas with other people is to get to know them.  Learn about their culture and way of life, what's really important to them.  Why else would they ever be interested in anything anyone else had to say?  Why wouldn't they interpret any kind of "help" as a threat ?

It is only by demonstrating a desire to know and understand them as people of inherent worth that we can begin to communicate.  I am convinced that 90% of the conflict in the world is due to basic miscommunication.  So much could be resolved if we simply listened to one another.

My study of history, my love of travel, my learning about theology all contributes to my desire to improve the state of the world.
